Calculate your ecological footprint!

A great way to realize how much of an impact you have on the environment is through calculating your ecological footprint. It considers various factors, such as your daily habits, how much meat you consume, and the type of transportation you use, to name a few.

Want to know what your ecological footprint is? HERE is a really easy and informative way to calculate the number of Earths we would need to live on your lifestyle!

After taking the quiz, we would need 2.89 Earths to live my lifestyle. This isn't too bad, but we need to remember that we only have ONE Earth to live on!

India stands up against GE food crop!

India has taken a huge step in creating more sustainable agricultural practices, which is clearly shown in their fight against genetically engineered (GE) crops! After India's Genetic Engineering Approval Committee gave GE crops the thumbs up, it has been met by national voices disapproving these crops. Citizens, farmers and various groups have participated in a day of fasting, while others have dressed up as eggplants at meetings to discuss these crops. The full article can be found here, on Greenpeace's website and thanks to Sarah sending it in!
